Anyone know where I can get a short front Fender?
Does anyone know where I can get a short front fender to fit 750c3? Either off another make/model or aftermarket. Would like to try one without cutting up mine. Metal preferred so I can chrome it

Re: New Z900RS
Yeah 'Retro' Vs 'Classic Styling'. If it was really retro I'd expect Carbs. ...at least. 'Classic Styling' is a much better way to appropriately describe them.

Re: New Z900RS
I whole-heartedly agree. If you want the look of an old bike 100%, you have to have an old bike. If you want the performance of a new bike, well....certain items will look new because...um...they're not old lol. Same reason I have a distaste for the thruxton-hipster riders around here with pristine ...

Re: New Z900RS
It's ok Freddy - my comment about twin rear shocks was tongue in cheek.

Re: Rebuilding brake calipers
They're a relatively simple device, I can't say I rebuilt mine, but I have just put all new rubbers/seals in them...and that's about all there is to it. A bit of compressed air to pop the pistons out (gently), clean them with a sof cloth and check them and the bores for scoring or nasty rust, pull t...

Re: Optimal shift points?
No worries, that's how I took it. 90% of my riding is highway commuting or crusing along to get to the twisties. "Spirited rides" where I'll apply as much theory and technique as possible are rare - but it's those 10% that I want to shine best I can. Even then I try to hold back a little a...

Re: Optimal shift points?
Thanks Freddy, I'll try that out on the asphalt dyno. FWIW I've followed your advice in another thread riding further up the rev range and it shocked the mate I was riding with how quick the old gal was.

Optimal shift points?
Howdy gang, I've been doing some reading on riding technique and I'm curious to know your opinion on optimal acceleration shift points for the 750C3? Peak torque at 7300, Peak HP at 9500. So two theories I've read is change to hit peak torque (or peak HP) in the gear you're changing into ? Seems sil...

Aw yeah - fuel gremlins sorted.
I've finally got the fuel system sorted in this old gal, took her for a long ride with a mate and holy cow, this thing is cool. I've always liked the bike for it's looks but now that all the mixtures/floats/levels are right and she's not over-fueling boy has she got some get-up and go. Thanks to Fre...
