Re: Got Rear-Ended Today.

Wow! Sorry to hear that Stereo but I'm glad you are ok. I suppose its too early to properly assess the damage to see if the bike is repairable?

Re: What have you done today, Zephyr-wise?

Looks great :) What do you need to do this? Admin, would this be better moved to the "Ongoing Projects" section then I could do a total run through from start to finish? I was only answering your question and I didn't mean to get carried away with my replies. Maybe more of the owners woul...

Re: What have you done today, Zephyr-wise?

I've just watched the vid again and he uses copper wire to suspend his parts in the vinegar/nickel solution, DO NOT DO THIS, use only titanium wire because the vinegar will eat away at the copper and add copper to the solution and contaminate it. He also does his vid in what looks like his kitchen, ...

Re: What have you done today, Zephyr-wise?

This is my tank set up and a few bits that I actually could be bothered to take before and after pics of. Start small because if you contaminate the solution it has to be dumped, you can use an old plug in power pack that kicks out 1 amp, just cut the jack plug off and connect crocodile clips, the 6...

Re: What have you done today, Zephyr-wise?

Looks great :) What do you need to do this? A large plastic tub, enough white vinegar to fill it, an old battery charger that will do 6 volt, some pure nickel anode from ebay, some titanium wire for suspending the nickel anode in the tank, some bare copper wire to wrap around the outside of the tan...

Re: What have you done today, Zephyr-wise?

I nickel plated a load of parts in my shed for my Zephyr 750, if I'm lucky I should get to start putting it back together tomorrow. I didn't do the footrests or levers as it doesn't work on alloy unless you spend loads of money on toxic chemicals.

Re: Hello from New Jersey,USA

Hi voyager and welcome. Here is a link to the best place in the UK for Zephyr parts, yes I know its not in the US and I know that shipping to the US from the UK won't be cheap but its an option for any parts that you may not be able to find on your side of the pond. https://www.kawasakioriginalparts...

Re: Another Startup Diagnosis (w/Video)

Hi Stereo, how long have you had the bike and how long has it been making the noise? Have you checked your valve clearances? Is your cam chain adjuster working or is it stuck? It sounds like an adjustment issue as it goes away when the engine warms up. It is hard to say where the noise is coming fro...
