Re: moriwaki exhaust?
Does any modern race bike run a 4:1 exhaust? Even Eddie Lawson would eventually abandoned a 4:1 for a 4:2:1 some 40 years ago on his Kawasaki muscle bike. The last thing you want is a bloody great pipe diameter change where the 4 pipes go into a single collector. Just creates massive return pressur...

Re: moriwaki exhaust?
I don't know about modern race bikes but our engine designs are prob 40 years old or more. If backpressure were affecting this I can't feel it. It pulls clean through the rev range and doesn't bog down. The pipes were Australian made from a company called Formula 1. Not sure if they're still around....

Re: 1100 slipping clutch
Sorry for bumping these old posts but thumbs up to guys for contributing to the threads. There aren't always enough Zephyr contributors around to get a quick answer Changing the clutch plates on the 750 takes about 30mins - if you have the right tool. On my BMW dry clutch takes days to change and re...

Re: Carb heater removal
I had a set of carb heaters from the ZR7 rack fitted to my Zephyr There was not issue removing the heaters. There was a sort of small plug style element that poked into either the side of each carb and linked via wires to each other. I can't recall if there were 4 or just 2 but I literally just pull...

Re: moriwaki exhaust?
I read your post Freddy and agree but pipe design probably gets around this
I have run a 4:1 on my 750 and have done so on track days as well as weekend warrior rides. It is a race pipe - so no baffle - and have had not trouble with bog down.

Re: Back in the Zone and Out of Storage
I remember you too Hugo Engine is a direct swap - same engine but newer. All mounts the same. The only thing I needed to change was the pickup connecter wires. I cut off the ZR7 one and used my Zephyr's The engine in the picture above is a ZR7 with about 11,000kms Comes with factory primary chain te...

Re: ZRX1100 swing arm
I have a ZRX400 swingarm to install on the 750 I will measure the overall lengths I think the difference between the 400 and 1100 swingarm is the location of the torque arm which connects the rear calliper. The Zephyr 750 and ZRX400 have rear calliper on top of the disc while the ZRX1100 has callipe...
