Re: New to community
Belated Hello Mahaflac! Welcome to the Zone. I haven't been checking in as often as I'd like. Your new bike has a different treatment that's for sure. I'm in Lubbock myself. I'm in the process of putting my ZR1100 back together. It had some issues and I've been slacking (for five years) getting it b...

Re: '93 ZR1100 jetting
Bigzeph!!! How are you doing! It is good to see familiar names still here! I'm trying to get the ZR back on the road. We'll see how that goes. I picked up a Dynojet kit for the '93 ZR1100 on eBay. I'll be interested to see if it helps my mileage issue. On a side note, I have found that my #1 piston ...

A low mileage ZR1100
I just ran across this on eBay. If you have the scratch for it here is a low mileage ZR1100. Too rich for my blood. I wonder what the reserve is. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1993-Kawasaki-ZR1100A2/312476092452?hash=item48c106c824:g:avsAAOSwNudcZYah:rk:1:pf:1&LH_ItemCondition=4&frcectupt=true Sc...

Re: '93 ZR1100 jetting
Thank you for the input Freddy. I'm glad to see that you are still around Hugo! I still have the pictures of our meet up at the Bok tower. I still have a bit of time to sort out the carb issue. When I lived in Orlando my ZR1100 got fantastic mileage of 33 mpg. Now I'm down to about 27-28 (at least t...

Re: Hi mileage Zephyrs
Hello Freddy, I haven't been active on the Zone for a number of years. I Bought my ZR1100 off eBay back about 2006ish with about 86,000 miles on the clock. It now has a bit over 116,000 miles indicated. I'm in the midst of a rebuild right now and it hasn't run in about four or five years. I'm hoping...

'93 ZR1100 jetting
Since the original board is gone I can't search for the information I need. I am looking to solve a richness issue with my carbs. I've gone from sea level in Florida to just over 3000 feet in the panhandle of Texas. I've lost about 5 miles per gallon. One of my trusted sources told me to swap out th...

Re: 1100 shift drum pin placement
Thanks again Jrkk.
I had difficulty reconciling the position of that pin with the neutral detent. I did get it sorted and felt rather foolish for making it harder than it was.
My goal is to be riding sometime this summer.

1100 shift drum pin placement
Okay, so I've climbed back into the reassembly of my engine. It's only been a few years :) In addition to having a question about the orientation of the shift forks (see other thread) I have a question about the reassembly of the shift drum neutral switch plate. Once again the manual is not really h...

1100 shift fork orientation
Okay, I feel properly silly. For the life of me I cannot remember the proper orientation of the output shaft shift forks. The manual really doesn't help, nor do any of the pictures I took during the disassembly. Here's a photo of how I have them at the moment. Are they correct or should the tall sid...
