I'm fitting them to my gpzephyr 550/600, which is fitted with a modified zxr400 fro...

Re: 750 5 speed to 6 speed swap
Hi try the gear box from the gpx 750 , as far as I am aware it should be more or less a straight swop . I remember someone doing it a few years back in a magazine and saying he had no problems .

Re: Rear End Wallow?
try greasing the swingarm that also helps as when the start to dry out the swingarm starts to move a little.
but really the 550 is a bit of a soft bike to ride they wallow about but thats part of the fun of riding them . grab the bars and hold on tight

Re: Zephyr 550 Swing arm
the swingarm will fit ,but they are not a straight swop.
if you look on here some where you should find my diagram for the spaces that need making etc....
P.S get your 550 arm braced it will look better the zrx arm looks very thin after the 550 arm

Re: 550 fork seals
personally I bought a headstock front stand that is to say it fits into the lower triple clamp (yoke) and allows the removal of the forks .
it saves so much hassle ,
failing that use 2 axle stands for a car one under each crash bar !
