Re: What have you done today, Zephyr-wise?
Snow came and went, salt truck came and went, rain storm came and went, and the sun finally came out. I rode the Zephyr to my favourite ocean side pondering spot of which I posted a picture here about 10 days ago. To my surprise the promanade was closed. The storm littered logs and debris all over t...

750four, making lifestyle change is never easy. There is always compromise. I hope in your new layback setting, you'll find new hobbies and activities. I used to like to tinker with my bikes too, but now I just don't have the physical ability to do mutiple projects. Now I just ride and enjoy. Happy ...

Re: What have you done today, Zephyr-wise?
It has been raining for days. The Zephyr is itching to go out. Finally, there is a break this afternoon. Went out for a short 50km ride. So nice to just ride and feel the bike leaning around the corners. The Zephyr ran flawlessly. The street weren't that busy. I guess most people were in the mall sh...

Re: Bar raisers
Yes, a taller set of bars would do the same job and might even look better. I could not find a set of new bar I like, so I went with the risers. Also I want to keep the bike as original as possible. Now I am just waiting for a sunny and dry day to go for a test ride.

Re: Bar raisers
I hope this will be the last update. Last year, I started with a 1.25" riser, then moved up to a 1.25 with 3/4" pullback. A month ago, I installed a 3" riser after I redid the the cables with a longer version. The riding postion was much much improved. But I thought I could improve it...

Beautiful sunny day today, amazing for December. My brother and I rode up into the mountain for a 200km ride, no snow yet, but the temperature dipped to 3C at places. The Zephyr ran flawlessly. Here are a couple pics, one is a view of Vancouver Harbour from high up.

So , it can be done. I'll keep that in mind. Right now, everything is working well, leave well enough alone.
