Dont like the red on my 1100 seat, anyone recommended some sort of dye to make it black ?

If you can't find a good replacement tank, you could try sealing the inside with something like Kreem, my local chopper shop use it all the time on their custom built tanks. Good luck

Hi Herron sorry just seen this post, re the oil pressure switch , thread tape will be fine for that job. I've always used it for that sort of thing at work , oil drain plus etc. PTFE thread tape is good for 150 deg C and about 20bar

After I filled up with petrol it wouldn't start, just loads of clicking from under the seat so I'm guessing that was the solenoid and a duff battery.

Nice you're using it for work andyegreat weather and quiet ish roads still, mine broke down today so it's in the naughty shed

Spotted this beauty today... unfortunately it was mine, broke down on way for its first MOT in about 10 years was only a couple of miles from home so pushed it back... effing bloody heavy thing I can tell thee....

welcome bv2000 the 1100 looks well tidy (obviously hasn't seen any British roads and winter salt.... ) hopefully the more technical minded of us can help with some of your questions.
