Re: Its Crimbo, My new toy for my 1100 :)

When is Swampy's exhaust center opening! Probably a good idea to stockpile some good standard sets, people seem to be restoring more of them these days.

Can't wait to hear what they sound like.... If you don't like it maybe they'll fit my Z1000 haha

Re: 1100 B1 Newby

Thanks Dave for the comments, i can't wait for spring and to put some miles on the Zephyr. I just hope 2021 is an improvement with at least some bike meets happening. I really need to get a plating kit the finish looks really good and probably quite satisfying to do. I meant to ask have you still go...

Re: 1100 B1 Newby

Sounds great to me Dave, i only kept the frame on mine std because i like the colour, to be honest though it did want painting and i would've done it black As you'll see if you read my resto thread I'm not bothered about originality!

Happy Christmas all!

Merry Christmas all!

Well let's hope next year's an improvement (shouldn't be a problem!) and if any bike meets do happen then we need to organise a Zephyr meet as they all must be polished to death by now!

Have a great one,

Re: New member

I like it, very mean looking and personally I think modified bikes are great, there's always enough standard stuff around to keep the purists happy!

Re: 1100 B1 Newby

Would be great to see pictures of your restoration in progress, i did a thread on mine in the ongoing projects section and got lots of encouragement etc from it. You're probably aware the frame paint colour is unique to Zephyr's and i don't think anyone has had any success matching it with powdercoa...

Re: New member

Hi and welcome, Loads of info on here so ask away!, would love to see a picture of your 1000J... and the Zephyr of course! My first "big" bike after i passed my test in 1993 was a 81 Z400j in silver, i loved the look and sound of it (kerker 4-1) even though it was heavy and pretty slow in ...
