Kr1 wheels
I have read somewhere about someone fitting Kr1 wheels to a 550 saving a lot of weight. Anyone know about any problems? Also I have seen two different types, 5 spoke and 3 spoke, which is preferred?

Frame parts paint
What paint is used on the engine mounting brackets and foot rest plates and front brake master cylinder? Not too keen on powder coating, also think the coating would be too thick.

Will the zr750 petrol tank fit the 550? I know the part numbers are different for the tank, but the petrol tap ect: are the same for both models.

Front disc
Does anyone know what the thickness of a new OEM disc is? I see the service limit is 4mm. And some secondhand disc for sale with a thickness of 4.2mm, and some new (Chinese I think) 4mm.

Tank badges removal
Continuing theme of petrol tanks. What's the best way to remove the badges? And then reattach them? I have heard of fishing gut worked behind the badges with a sawing motion.
