Re: What gear should I be in? n00b rider question.
wouldn't know how to drive an automatic, its probably easy but I have never had the need or opportunity to try one. In an automatic there is a go pedal, and a stop pedal. It has been years since people would get a manual licence in Australia so they could drive both automatics and manuals legally. ...

Re: What gear should I be in? n00b rider question.
In the UK, if you pass your driving test in a manual car you are entitled to drive an automatic as well, if you pass your test in an automatic you are restricted to driving just automatics. I wouldn't know how to drive an automatic, its probably easy but I have never had the need or opportunity to t...

Re: What gear should I be in? n00b rider question.
When it stops going faster change gear! Just kidding, I wouldn't have the first clue about telling someone when to change gear, its just something I've been doing naturally for 45 years. My take on why its more difficult to figure these days for someone starting out. Was the the car you learn...

Re: What have you done today, Zephyr-wise?
Lately it seemed like it was getting harder and harder to start my Zephyr. I’d hit the starter button and I could hear a faint click, but nothing happened. I thought maybe it was a low battery, so I charged it, but still nothing. So today I decided to chase down the problem. I started at the switch...

Re: ZR-7's Are they Zephyr's or what?
Thanks for your very informative replies guys! I figured that the engines would be similar in design but I didn't realize there would be so many differences as well. I'm not having a pop at the ZR-7 as a motorcycle as I've never owned or ridden one, what I do take issue with is their appearance when...

ZR-7's Are they Zephyr's or what?
I keep seeing Kawasaki ZR-7's for sale described as Zephyr's. In my mind they are not Zephyr's, no where on them is the word "Zephyr", they are a ZR-7 750 Kawasaki. They don't even look like Zephyr's, they were introduced after the Zephyr's stopped being sold outside of Japan. So what do y...
