Re: Minter 1100 6500 Miles Nearly as good as mine :)

I just liked the way they were trying to link it to Paul Smart. If it was a Ducati he had raced fair enough, but sold by the shop he owned not really going to add value. I'm wondering what will happen as Petrol gets phased out. Will all the blokes with a classic in the shed die out leaving only the ...

Re: shock absorber replacements

I had my 750 shocks refurbished by Brook suspension. Pleased with the result. Back end feels planted & rides the bumps well.

It wasn't particularly cheap, but an option if you don't fancy doing it yourself.

They also sell YSS.

Re: 550 suspension and tyres set up

Hi Jen I've got a 750 so can only give generic answers. Rear suspension can be rebuilt, I had mine done by Brooks Suspension. Big improvement. You can also buy Yss for about the same price as a rebuild, depends on what you want. For road tyres, Always had good results with Bridgestone BT45 tyres on ...

Re: Bridgestone t31

Done a few more miles on them now. Still like them. Nice & smooth ride & feel secure when leaned over. Seems like a decent tyre at normal road speeds.

Bridgestone t31

Just had a new set of T31 tyres fitted. First impressions are good. (New tyres always feel nicer than old).
Smooth ride, bike seems to turn a little easier than with the previous BT023's.
Will update when I get some miles on them.

Re: 750 motor hesitating

In a 750 zephyr tank, there is a good chance there will a lot of rust particles as well.

Re: My D1

Yes, they are not the original shocks. It had hagons when i bought it. I found a set on ebay and had them rebuilt by Brooks & got the springs powdercoated at the same time. Calipers are from an SV650 so are Matt Black rather than the Grey.
