In gear with the engine off. Pull clutch in & rock the bike backwards & forwards.

Sometimes works.

I've also got a Black Widow on my D1. Not noticed any loss of power, and can still get the oil filter out.
Straight swap for OEM.

Changed the Brake fluid & bled the brakes. Probably halved the lever travel.
It's one of those things that gets forgotten but shouldn't.
Supposed to do it every 2 years, but its been more like 4.
Be interested to see how it feels on the road.
