Happy new Year Eddie :D

Tank is looking good mate, you've done a good job there, will you be painting yourself or sending it away to the paint shop?
What about colour, will you be stinking to a standard colour or will you be going wild on this one :o

Happy new year Swamps :D

Still not 100% sure on a colour yet , but I'm thinking of sticking with it's original blue, but in a custom candy style, something just a little different......but then again I'm still liking Purple  !!! who knows! it will be sprayed by a professional shop though :)

Started stripping and cleaning the carbs today, I know they're pretty clean already as I've done them a few times over the years!, I want to check the jet sizes etc as I'm switching to pod filters and will probably have to change a few of them to get some base settings before it goes on the dyno.

cheers eddie

No stock in this country would have to order from Greece mid to late April strange as they are supposed to be UK made

Hello Greenzephyr,I got my pod filters from a company called B&R special tuning, now seem to be called Motorcycle Performance Store, probably the same company you've tried but here's a link anyway:
https://www.motorcycle-exhausts.co.uk/Rubber_Top_Breather--category--801.html Tel:01600 772121

Here's a pic with mine now fitted, I had Dynojet stg1 kit previously fitted to the standard airbox with K&N filter and as it ran on the rich side I have left the settings as they were, so will wait and see how it runs on the pods, a dyno session will be needed I would think to get it spot on. They were a little tricky to fit on as the rubber is very soft and the carb lip quite narrow, they needed to be tightened carefully as to avoid slipping off the carb body (I used a bit of carb cleaner solvent around the mating surfaces to help them grip). Let me know how you get on with yours as it will be sometime before mine is running again!

Hi Greenzephyr, I had a look on the DNA box and they are manufactured in Greece, B&R are the UK distributers for them so should be able to get them pretty quickly

Hope that helps

cheers eddie

I've been doing the exhaust headers, a job I've been dreading for a while now!! , but a handy tip I found on you tube was to first clean them with Harpic super strong bleach , and wow what a superb job it did removing all the staining and crud that had been baked on for years, well impressed.
The remaining marks were removed with fine sandpaper and light oil ........then hours and hours on the polishing mops to get them shiny again, coming on well I think :
