Still not sure about fender position.
Meanwhile some electrical stuff.
Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
I got the bike started today and set the cam chain tensioner and synchronized carburettors.
I had a bit of a problem with the carburettor's float blow gasket, but a new tightening helped. However, I ordered new seals.
I had the carburettors open when I changed the larger jets and lifted the needles.
My solution for easier carburettor installation was to remove the grill from the air cleaner opening, now the hand can fit in from the opening to install rubber boots. The ignition vacuum controller got a new place next to the battery because all wiring must fit under the tank. I also got front indicators installed and lowered the headlamp slightly, it lines up better with tank and seat line now.

Mirrors in place.
I also got orange pinstripe, but it was too light. Looking better in this picture, but it wasn't good, so I take it away.
.Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
Different style of pinstripe.
Now I regret those orange decals.
This stripe is metallic and fits nicely to the other red parts.

Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
Little pin needs to go from side stand to get more room for my feet, to change a gear.
I could also move rearsets up one hole, but I don't want to do that before I have ridden it. And this position feels good.
Also flipped front fender again. Still not sure about it.
I kind of like more on looks when longer side is faced front.

Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
I made rubber "door" to under tail space to keep thing's in there (phone and wallet or what ever).
Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
Little test, if gearing could be inverted type.
I have not ridden standard gearing since 2010 when I bought my track bike and sell road bike. Not sure about that because original rosejoint needs to cut off for that mod. Also looks better when standard.

Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
First time out today. Everything seems to be all right. Tomorrow I'm going to go little test ride.
Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
It's been a while since last writeup. Summer was great in Finland and I drove about 3000km, which is lot for me these days. Zr1100 carbon edition has worked well and it's fun to ride.
Been looking for a forks for a while, and it was difficult because of the length. I discover that ktm superduke 1290 has 780mm long forks and Ducati hypermotard has 790mm. Ducati ones is very expensive and rare, but superduke forks are more common. Finally I found superduke forks in reasonable price. Also found brembo monoblocks.
Next winter's project is starting.
