Take the foot peg off and together with something with the engine color (trying to think of a part easily removed??) take them to a decent specialist auto paints supplier. Color matching paint is the 'bread and butter' of anyone decent.

Ask for it in a 2k (2 part) aerosols if they can make them. It's tougher and will withstand the engine temperature. I doubt a 1K will stand up to the engine temperature.

To get a good finish its not the paint, but the preparation that is critical. Surfaces need to be completely smooth, all sanding scratches up to around at least 400 grit removed, etch primed, and then painted. Any surface imperfections will show through like the proverbial male dogs anatomy. Paint other than purpose high build primer, is a lousy 'cover' of imperfections. New paint actually highlights rather than hides substrate imperfections.

I honestly doubt you'll get a satisfactory color match on line. Last time I rebuilt my engine, the second hand block I used to get rebored needed to be repainted due to surface corrosion (having come from Europe and salt I assume). I bought just about every can of VHT's range of silvers, and none were an ideal match. The plastic lid on the can is a pretty poor indicator of the final color. I settled on a slightly darker silver than OEM and it works ok because its the whole block.

In your case I'm assuming you just want to repaint that end of the engine, so even the slightest color difference to original may be noticeable. And even with as best match possible by a good color expert, they can never make it 'perfect'. So if you want a really good job, I'd be looking to paint the complete exposed lower case end around to where any transition can be hidden. I think an ever so slight difference in color between the lower case and block wouldn't be an issue.

P.S. and if 95% of the effort is taken up in preparation eg. removing covers and bits in the way, masking, sanding, etch priming, etc..... that exactly how it should be. Resist the natural temptation to just 'paint it'.
