Tank badges removal

Continuing theme of petrol tanks. What's the best way to remove the badges? And then reattach them? I have heard of fishing gut worked behind the badges with a sawing motion.

I used dental floss on my Beamer a few years back, then cleaned it with white spirit. Very much doubt that your be able to reattach them thou :(

The way i always do it is fishing line or dental floss to remove, then clean all the old gunk off the backs and use trim tape to reattach. Works a treat.
*edit. Checked youtube, this vid is pretty much how i reattach tank badges. :)

All I did was heat up the badge with a hair dryer, then just ease it off, and used petrol to remove the tape on the tank.
