Hi, just stopping by to say hello and thank you for the registration. I've just acquired a Zephyr 1100, already have a 1000J new from '81. I'm very excited about the Zephyr and really looking forward to riding and maintaining it. Looks like there is a lot of useful experience in here. Hope to share some with you too. Thanks.

Hi Shedman, apologies for slow reply (I don't seem to have my notifications turned on!). From Ireland and just brought the bike back from the UK. A nice clean '95 maroon model. Just going through the import routine atm. Will try to get some photos up at some point :)

Hi and welcome,

Loads of info on here so ask away!, would love to see a picture of your 1000J... and the Zephyr of course!

My first "big" bike after i passed my test in 1993 was a 81 Z400j in silver, i loved the look and sound of it (kerker 4-1) even though it was heavy and pretty slow in truth!
Happy days though

Cheers eddie

Hi Eddie, sorry again fior slow reply! Think I have my notifications sorted now  Here's my 1000J. It's been cafe racerised! Hope it doesn't offend any purists.

I like it, very mean looking and personally I think modified bikes are great, there's always enough standard stuff around to keep the purists happy!
