Leaked concept photos ahead of release later this year, so no price yet. It'll be based on the z900 and a direct competitor to the Yamaha XSR900, so should be around 8 to 9 grand in uk I would think.

Of course the styling's not as good as the Zephyrs but it's better than the XSR which looks (intentionally?) like someone knocked it up in a back alley.

I'm not a fan of the fake four pipe exhaust, but love the overall concept. Makes more sense as a Kawasaki retro than the old W650 and 800. I'm tempted, but I often am until I get to see them.

Just so happened I had a good long hard think about a Z900 the other day. Reckon Kawasaki has made a BIG mistake not having traction control on a 125hp bike. That's a show stopper for me. Even if you don't think it necessary it will have a significant impact on the resale value of the bike. People just expect 2 and 3 stage TC and ABS these days. I'll predict it be a standard feature in a future year release.

If the Z900RS is going to have a longer wheel base, be heavier, and have only 110 hp then its certainly got even less chance that the Z900 of having TC. Yes, it'll need it even less, but for a few hundred dollars I still think Mr Kawasaki has got it wrong.
