zr550 exhaust
zr550 exhaust
Will any other exhaust fit? Gpz550 or any other Kawasaki 4 - 1.
Re: zr550 exhaust
What's wrong with the current one? If it is completely shot beyond recovery I'd shoot for a 2nd hand genuine one. There are a number of them on Ebay.
You know the genuine one will work without a problem. You can't be sure of that if you put one on from a different model, even if it bolts up ok. The intake, cam timing, and exhaust was designed by the Kawasaki engineers to work as a unit. Change any one of the 3 components and you could potentially introduce a performance degradation, usually a flat spot somewhere in the rev range. Not say it will do this, but just that it might.
That's why I suggest to play it safe and get a second hand 550 one, even if it cost a couple dollars more.

In Japan, the GPz400 and ZX400 have the same port spacing as the GPz/KZ/ZR550.
