1100 fuel guage

Post by Kenny11 »

Hi all, having removed the fuel tank and put it on again , the gauge no longer works for some reason, there is a cable connector under the tank with 2 wires which I assume is for the gauge, but there is no voltage to the wire in the connector, assuming that there should be, as it works all the time that the battery is connected normally.
Any advice would be great

I would measure the resistance of the fuel gauge first, could be it's open (no resistance) in which case there will be no current flowing thru the fuel level dial.
