Continental Road Attack 2 EVO / 3

Post by Freddy »

Anyhow, finally decided to chuck the Metzeler Roadtec 01's I last fitted despite being only about 50% worn. The front Roadtec has grooves running across the whole of the tyre at 90 degrees to rotation, and these had become badly cupped, creating a vibration in the front wheel at at speeds above 140 kph. Can't say I ever really warmed to these tyres.

So on went the Continental Road Attacks. Had to fit the superseded 2 Evo on the rear as that was the only 17 inch 150 in the country. Went with the Road Attack 3 on the front.

Just got back from a 100 kilometer run to test them out, and so far my impression is brilliant. They are a neutral handling tyre just like the Metzeler Z8, and if anything I think they are better. With the Z8 no longer available in a 150 in Australia I reckon these Conto Road Attacks are going to be tyre of choice from now on.
