Looks fantastic, really like the Z1 paint job and 4:4 exhaust.

Do you have any ‘before’ pictures to showcase the great job you have done?

I have somewhere i'll have to dig them out.
The pipes were a lucky find from China exact same as the ones from Webike but less than half the price and really good quality.
The front and rear mudguards are the original plastic Zephyr ones I had chrome sprayed.
Its a great bike to drive and turns a few heads. A few people thought it was a Z900 untill they look at the side panel badges.
Couldnt afford a Z900 so built my own and its a better bike.

That's an interesting point. A Zephyr is a WAY better bike than a Z900. There are a number of well restored Z900's in my area. Whenever you come across one they seemingly all want to show you just how much better the 'real thing' performs compared to the 'pretender'. They are not even in the hunt with those flimsy forks, bias ply tyres, and flexible frame. Mind you they don't realize my 750 D1 is not really original even though I've gone to great lengths to make it look that way to all but the very knowledgeable observer.

Anyhow, its always entertaining. Now you even get all the Z900RS owners wanting to show you how superior their new purchase is.

I think they ruined the Z900rs by making it mono shock it looks good at the front but the rear just looks crap.
I know you can buy conversion kits from Webike in Japan but you have to have deep pockets for that.
Anyway the Zephyr is a way better lookin bike and a lot easier to work on and turnes more heads than a zrs in my opinion.
