Zr750 exhaust

Does anyone know if the zr750 exhaust pipes are the same diameter as the zr550? Need newer exhausts on my zr550, so my plan is to get zr750 exhausts and cut off the silencer and weld my zr550 exhaust on. Any problems? Mainly because zr750 exhausts are soooo much cheaper.
