bad 1100 regulator
I have just removed my Alternator on my 93 1100.My bike stopped charging completely.Is there an affordable repair for this Mitsubishi alternator,any alternatives?It is the regulator.tnx

Hey,the 1100 has an integrated Alt/reg.like a car.I believe yours has seperate components.

We are talking Alternator and Regulator.......but on the 750 you have to include the Rectifier also.
The Zeph 750, being a KZ750 air cooled, has one piece Regulator/Rectifier under the tank. One unit, separate from the Alternator on the crank, and rather inexpensive, or easy to replace with generic
The Zeph 1100 being related to the liquid cooled ZX1100 of the period, has the Regulator, and also the Rectifier as two separate parts integrated into the Alternator located behind the cylinder bank. The Alternator does not show as available, and just the Regulator lists for over $600.
Don't know where you are located but I'd look for aftermarket from the UK, or there is a used listed on Ebay from Germany. Also alternator from the liquid cooled versions might fit,...but I don't know, really.
