Just enough parts arrived in time to take the zephyr on its maiden voyage. No air box lid yet only duct tape but it worked just well enough

Interested to know more about your current project with the Zephyr.
Freddy.

I went for a ride to Matlock Bath, apart from a couple of old Brit bikes my Zephyr was the oldest bike there.

Weekend carb tear down and vacuum test, chasing down full throttle stutter solution but at least the test rides are fun. Trying to find the best tuning for my four to 1 vance and hines exhaust
Re: What have you done today, Zephyr-wise?
Kill switch and throttle assembly decided it wanted to rotate around the handlebar on the ride home from town - made for an interesting trip! Usual issue with chewed X-head screws, no way were they going to tighten up enough, or even come out without a fight. Ended up having to drill them out and replace with new ones. Sorted now, so if the rain holds off today I might get a chance to go for a ride

Fitted a stainless oil cooler cover, stainless down pipes & rebuilt rear shocks. Went for a test ride.
The re-built shocks are great, can actually hit a pot hole without getting bounced out of the seat.

Looks real nice and I just love the bikes color schema

Hi Richard
The photo's make her look in better condition than she actually is. She was quite rough when I bought her, had been kept outside in a carport.
Now she's in decent running order but by no means pristine. As things wear out I try & replace them with better parts.
I have owned her for 12 years now.

Hi Andy,
Really great looking bike. Where did you get your rear shocks reconditioned?
Mine are well worn and would prefer to retain the OE parts if rebuilding is viable.
Regards,
Kevin
