Top work,
Powder coating looks spot on especially with the satin finish, I'd be well chuffed with that, i take it you've got your own oven, paint Must stink a bit!!

Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
Thanks Eddie.
Yes I bought cheap powder gun and owen. I was hoping that it would be easier to develop smooth surface, I've done better surface with rattlecans. This should be harder though. From time to time, I have
lot's of parts to coat, so maybe it wasn't waste of money.
Owen is near to ventilator that sucks some of gasses away.

Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
I'm still middle of engine break in.
Start was horrible. My carbs float needles wasn't holding, and I didn't noticed that, and I continue dilute my oil with gasoline.
That's past now, but it still consume oil and piston crown is wet from oil. I have drive it hard from a start, but only 350km. Might be that my measurements was off, and cylinder to piston clearance was too big.
It pulls hard and works fine though, so I continue driving it in.
If rings doesn't seat, I have solution now, Yoshimura piston set.
I was calculating costs back in winter, and probably made bad choice, when I decided to order only new rings.
That's how we learn these things...
Something good though, I had opportunity to drive 2 days on brand new Finnish Kymiring motogp racetrack last weekend. Fun fun fun.
Facilities are not ready yet, but the track itself is, and that new smooth tarmac is awesome. Covid-19 cancelled this year's gp, hope we have race next year.

Super job. Bike looks fantastic! I am not doing anything as extensive as what you have done. I don't have the tools, expertise or patience), but I am itching to just get to where you are. I want to ride the bike and not have it in little pieces parts.
Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
Thanks Fishrider.
1000km now and still consume oil.
At this point, I can say that rings are not gonna seat.
Now I wander should I bore it now or next winter. If I wait and keep driving, I will have more carbon to clean, and probably whole head needs to disassemble again....
Meanwhile proper cleaning.

Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
Well, If your machinist has a quick turn around then you should have plenty more time. Down for a week or two? I bored my cylinders to the 810 Wiseco so I don't expect the same issue. I won't be able to start my electrical for 2-3 weeks. My supplier for the M-Unit is out. I'll have the engine together way before that. If I am really lucky and the machine works I might get a few days in before winter. Good luck!

Hi - noted this build on another site and after signing up here I'll be keeping up with the updates - any further progress with the yoke?
Re: Jrkk's 1100 cafe build
Please excuse above post as was replying to a post by op in January as no further pages were available but on posting my first post I see the question has already been answered - apologies -
