For Sale Zephyr 1100

Postby Cam » 23 May 2018, 10:38

Owned my Zephyr for nearly 11 years, done about 5k miles on her in that time , used mainly on sunny days for the odd ride out. 22,223 miles and 5 previous owners.

She is in reasonable condition for a 26 year old bike 1992 on a J, not concourse, showing some signs of her age, although if someone had the inclination and time she could be.The front mudguard has some heat damage from the exhaust.

She is not completely original but not far off, work done recently includes refurbished rear brake caliper and new pads, braided brake hoses, CDI was replaced, new front fork seals, rear Hagon shocks fitted, clutch plates and springs replaced and a new battery. She has a Yoshimura end can and four into one fitted which sounds awesome. Previous owner painted the wheels black these have now been returned to original. Other than that she is standard with original paintwork.

I have the original piggy back shocks and a small bikini type fairing for her as well

She will have a full 12 MOT certificate for the new owner.

Looking to sell as I don't have time for her upkeep or to ride her as much as I'd like, got 2 other bikes and need the space, be sad to see her go but needs must

Only asking £1850 or best offer

Tell me about it, feels as if I am giving her away, wasn't really sure what to ask tbh, I was going to go for 2k - ebay charge 10% of selling price so I thought i'd pass that on to the buyer. What do you reckon would be a fair price to ask?

It looks like a clean bike to me, I would of thought around £2500+ would be a more realistic asking price. I have see a lot worse out there (and sold) for sale.
