From GPz to ZR550

Hey all,

Just wanted to introduce myself as I just picked up a 1990 ZR550. I used to vintage race an 1984 GPz550 and it charmed me so move on a few years and saw the ZR550 for sale and I snatched it.

I'm not happy with the chopped tail and the super old Avon race tires, but otherwise it'll be mostly maintenance items at first. I had the engine on the GPz race bike with a 615cc kit, carbs, APE studs, RD valve springs...its tempting to do the same to the ZR but for now it'll stay as is.

Now to figure out what to do with the chopped tail and a decent paint job.

love the look of the GPZ , you could always give the 550 the same treatment for the road , looks ace :)
