It has the unusual asymmetric clocks which have been the cause of one debate 'they're not right' - yes they are. They are replacements as the milometer had packed up on the originals, but the replacements were within 150 miles of originals and are available. It has historically had a flame paint job applied to the tank, not guilty but not unhappy with it either. The small side panels and rear seat fairing are finished in the same blue but the airbox covers and front mudguard are Zephyr purple.
More notably, it has wire spoked wheels on stainless steel rims with twin discs to front and single to rear. It currently has a small rack fitted but the original chrome grab-rail has been kept and goes with it.
Over the years it has had plenty of money spent on it. In the last year it has had a full service and currently has around 10 months MOT on it. It had the rear cush drives replaced to satisfy a particularly picky tester a few years ago. Both front calipers have been replaced along the way with the front brake reservoir also having been replaced. The front brake lines are all braided stainless steel. A new gel battery was fitted at last MOT.
Small chrome engine guard rails are fitted and the engine breather is via a larger diameter braided hose which attracts the curious. Small after-market indicators fitted.
Being American spec. the headlight is on when the bike is running.
Obvious fault, a small tear on side of seat which no-one will own up to. The tank breather needs clearing out, a common fault.
£1050, offers considered. Bike is in South Devon and buyer arranges collection
Also available when I dig them out, a black 550 tank with dent and brand new boxed 550 crank cases - if interested in either of these message me. Thanks for looking
