Rear Shock Refurbishment
Hi, The shocks I have on my 750 are after market RFY shocks but they are only 320mm long not the correct 345mm. So, I have a choice to replace them. I can get RFY or JBS shocks - low price but of questionable quality. I can get a better brand (YSS or Ohlins) for example, but the price goes up consid...

Re: Main Beam Light Pattern
Freddy, I've sorted the exhaust. I think it wasn't a 'proper' ZR750 one in the first place - other opinions have suggested it's from a Z650 or ZR1100. Anyway, I loosened the clamps at the bottom of the downpipes, which gave me enough movement to push it to the hanger to the inside of the rearset. FB...

Re: Any idea what these are?
Hi guy's, they are the carb heater relays, I've got some spare if anyone wants them. Thanks Shedman. They are indeed the relays for the atmospheric and oil temperature sensors for the carb heaters. This though poses another question. My bike (if you ask the DVLA, or check the VIN number in the Hayn...

Re: Any idea what these are?
Do you happen to have an alarm fitted? Could be capacitors in case some villain disconnects your battery. I have fitted an alarm myself - and it doesn't include capacitors to make it sound with the battery disconnected. I do think that would be a good idea though. If a thief can remove the seat, af...

Re: More ignition problems
Freddy,
I have some more pipe for the vacuum connection, which will be easier to replace first before the tap
Do you know of anyway to test the tap?
Thanks,
Adam

Re: Any idea what these are?
When I had the tank off and was looking at them, I didn't remove the covers but they didn't appear to come off easily. They also have 4 wires, not two, which is all that would be needed for a 12v socket. That other bikes don't have them makes them even more curious. They look like they have been the...

Any idea what these are?
While looking around my bike with the tank off, I saw these two electrical things behind the rectifier. InkedIMG_20200816_151914_LI.jpg Maybe I'm being a bit thick, but I can't see what they are on the wiring diagram. They are not the coils (they are in front of these, under the rectifier), and I ca...

Re: More ignition problems
Well, I think I've solved it, but I'm not 100% sure as it wasn't what I expected. After testing the Igniter last night and recharging the battery (it had taken a battering from all the attempted starts while I was trying to find the problem) I refitted them both today. With no other changes, the bik...
