I know you want to keep the riffraff out but could be useful to have a "new post" button on the forums, maybe even a "reply to post" as well?

Hi bunyip,

Not sure what you are seeing. There's a "New Topic" button next to the "Search This Forum" box when you are looking at a particular forum e.g. "The Zephyr Lounge".
When you are in an existing topic, this turns into a "Post Reply" button.

If you aren't seeing this, please let me know how you are viewing the forum (i.e. phone/laptop/tablet/desktop, Firefox/Chrome/IE/whatever Apple calls their browser these days)

Also, how did you start this topic if you didn't find the "New Topic" button...
Regards
Dennis

when I go to "mechanical" for instance there is no "new post" button. There is in the lounge. Do you see something different?

You're right - hadn't spotted that.

I'll investigate...

Weird - newly created forums had Read Only permissions as default.

Should be fixed now.

Yep that's how the software generally works. You would expect different. That's why I always use a second non-administration account to check after doing a major (or even minor) change. ;)
